Frequently Asked Questions
I’ve never practiced Yoga before can I still come to class?
Yes, there is a first time for everything.
Do I have to register for prior to class or can I just show up?
Only where designated with an "*".
How much are your classes?
$15.00 for a single class, $50.00 for a 4 class pack, $90.00 for an 8 class pack
What is a class pack?
A class pack is a way to pre-purchase your classes. You get a discount for the more classes you buy in advance.
Does my class pack expire?
Yes, but not for 3 months. This allows you to miss up to 4-5 weeks of classes.
What is your refund policy?
Sorry, but we cannot issue any refunds or extensions on class pack or private sessions. Please don’t ask!
Do you take debit/credit cards?
No, and we are really sorry about this, we would rather keep our rates down and the credit card companies out. We do take cash or checks. There is a $50.00 returned check fee.
Do I need to bring anything like my own mat?
Nope, bring nothing but yourself unless you feel more comfortable with your own mat and eye pillow. (We sell both mats and eye pillows. We highly recommend you purchasing your own eye pillow).
What do I wear to class?
Comfortable layers are best for iYoga. Something form fitting is best and nothing too baggy, otherwise your clothes will get in the way.
Do I need socks and shoes?
No, yoga is practiced in your bare feet.
How many times a week should I practice yoga?
If you are new, I think twice a week is a good start. You begin to feel it in yourself more. If you can only come once a week, that is fine too! I do not recommend less than once a week.
I’m pregnant, can I still practice yoga?
Yes, absolutely. Join us for our new prenatal yoga classes. See
schedule for details.
Do you offer prenatal yoga?
Yes, we offer 5-week series throughout the year. Check our
schedule for the next set of dates.
Can Yoga be practiced during your menstruation cycle?
Yes, but it’s up to you. I recommend that you come and learn the menstruation sequence. However, I suggest that you do NOT practice any inversions and abdominal work for the few days that you have it. These poses are not recommended for the reason that if you invert, it stops the natural flow of your cycle and core work could cause major discomfort in the reproductive organs. Take it easy and rest during this time. Your body is naturally cleansing. There are a lot of poses you can do but mostly are restful.
Is Yoga a religion?
No, it has nothing to do with religion. People of all faiths practice yoga.
What does Namaste mean?
It’s a greeting… “I see the divine in you as you see the divine in me.” Almost like saying Aloha or Bonjour! Thank you & you’re welcome, hello and goodbye.
What is OM?
Om' is the primal sound or vibration from which the entire universe constantly emanates. It is the sound of creative departure and return.
