Kim Phillips, RYT

Kim PhillipsA yoga practitioner since 1998, Kim began teaching in 1999. In 2002 she began her studies in the B.K.S. Iyengar tradition where she discovered her true passion. In 2005 she founded iYoga, Inc. to pursue her goal of teaching and inspiring students in a way that will enhance their lives and provide a foundation for better health. Kim specializes in Yoga Therapy.

In June 2004 she completed a yearlong teacher training course based in the Iyengar tradition. Kim’s training includes extensive study under Bekir Algan of Austin Yoga.  He is the premier proponent of AYUR-YOGA (a practice based on Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy)

Her teachings are based on studies with Rodney Yee, Dean and Rebecca Lerner, Lois Steinberg, Manuso Manos, Max Strom, Judith Hanson Lasater, Gary Kraftsow, Desiree Rumbaugh and Laurie Blakeny.

 

Amy Wachter

Yoga Instructor

Amy began practicing yoga since 2005.  She was drawn to yoga because of it positive affects on the body and mind.  Amy began her practice as a student of Kim Phillips, who has shared her passions about yoga therapy.  Through this study, Amy has the experience to target areas of concern in ones body.  She shares this positive effect yoga has with her students.  Amy studies with Bekir Algan and has attended several workshops with Rodney Yee, Max Strom, Desiree Rumbaugh, and Doug Keller. 

 

Jonathan Campbell

Yoga Instructor

Jonathan began practicing yoga in 2008.  He apprenticed with Kim throughout 2010, learning the techniques of Yoga Therapy and the fundamentals of Yoga instruction.  Jonathan has a passion for Yoga philosophy and incorporates these principles within his classes. His other teachers include Monique Richards, Amy Wachter, Donna Dyer and Bekir Algan.  He has also participated in multiple workshops with Rodney Yee, Max Strom and Desiree Rumbaugh. 

 

Megan Wolfarth

Teacher-in-Training

Megan began practicing the Iyengar method of yoga in 2005 under the tutelage of Dan Heasley. In March 2010 she continued her studies with Kim Phillips who introduced her to the therapeutic aspects of yoga. She has studied with Bekir Algan, Kim's most infulenced yoga therapy teacher.  She has also studied and practiced with Amy Wachter and Monique Richards. Megan fully embraces yoga’s ability to integrate the body and mind on the path to finding peace and good health from within.
