Kim PhillipsA yoga practitioner since 1998, Kim began teaching in 1999 while studying in the Viniyoga tradition. In 2002 she began her studies in the B.K.S. Iyengar tradition where she discovered her true passion. She is able to pursue her goal: to teach and inspire students in a way that will enhance their lives and provide a foundation for better health.

Kim’s training also includes extensive study under Bekir Algan of Austin Yoga in Austin, Texas who is the premier proponent of AYUR-YOGA, Yoga Therapy and practice based on Ayurveda (The science of life). Deena Blumenfeld, RYT

Yoga Instructor
Certified Khalsa WayTM Prenatal Yoga Instructor
Childbirth Educator

Deena has been practicing Yoga for more than 10 years.  She began practicing Yoga in college and fell in love with it.  Her experience as a dance instructor led her to realize that teaching Yoga was on her path as well.  While pregnant with her son, she experienced the joys of a Prenatal Yoga class.  The community created in that class, as well as her own development, birthed a desire to teach Prenatal Yoga.

She is an advocate of empowered birth for women.  Through teaching Prenatal Yoga and Childbirth Education classes, she helps women be more confident in their choices  regarding pregnancy, birth and parenthood. She became a certified Yoga instructor through 3rd Street Yoga in December 2008.  She completed her Prenatal Yoga training in February 2009 in Los Angeles at Golden Bridge Yoga with Gurmukh.   Deena has taken workshops with Doug Keller, Max Strom, as well as from Ina May Gaskin, our nation’s premier midwife.  She continues to seek out appropriate workshops for enhancing both her teaching skills and personal development. In addition, Deena teaches Bellydance and Prenatal Bellydance.  She is a Tribal Fusion dancer, having studied under numerous instructors.  Through dance she expresses the freedom to enjoy the human body, to relax and to be in the moment.

Deena is also a proud mom to Owen, 4, and her new baby girl Elaine Margaret born 3/29/09.
